Topic: Homeschooling, Private or Public School, which one is best?

Before when my eldest son in toddler age, 3 years old, I tried him on homeschooling but it wouldn't work out. My son became timid, missed the experience on what having friendship with other children and it lessen to have a competitive achievement.

But when we applied him in a private school and passed, I personally saw how my eldest son improved and they both excel in academic and extra-curricular activities.

Since then, I enrolled both my son in a private school, now they are ages 13 and 11.
I see the benefit of it is that there are less students creating a more tailored education with a smaller student-to-teacher ratio.  The result is that the smaller population, students tend to forms stronger bonds with their classmates. There is also a fewer disciplinary problems.

Because students usually stay in one private school for their entire academic career teachers get to know students very well and become a stable authority in the child’s life.  This way teachers can personalize discipline to be most effective for the student.

One other good point of private schools is that the school has the ability to create a curriculum to would benefit the students. Also, because parents are paying tuition they automatically have more of a say in what they want for their child.

Re: Homeschooling, Private or Public School, which one is best?

As I prefer private school more, I think homeschooling works for some children better.
You wrote that you tried your 3 years old homeschooling but for him, homeschooling
was a lack of socialization with other children. I totally agree you are right. But for bigger
children who are homeschooled this would not be a case. They can have after school
program (horseback riding, tennis, swimming, learning to play on music instruments, etc.)
with other children which is more fun like to be in the school all day.

I think private school is best if you wanted a more structured curriculum and adequate teacher to students ratio.
