Topic: Teenage daughter and mother date ideas

Most teenagers prefer to go out with their friends but I think a day out with their mothers is healthy every now and then. I've thought about a salon and shopping session as a way of bonding with a teenage daughter because I think this is the most feasible way to bond with teenage girls.

Eating and playing with dolls is one of our favorite bonding moments of my daughters.

Re: Teenage daughter and mother date ideas

My daughter is not teenager yet, but....

With my daughter, we like just to walk and talk together and it doesn't matter where we go.
She has so much to say and she knows when we are walking just two of us I am there for her.

Another thing what we are often doing together is baking. She enjoys it and loves to share her cookies with her classmates.

Also she is so happy when we look up something on the internet and after we make it together.
Small arts and crafts things. It does not have to be a big project but the time doing something together is special for both of us.

Remembering the last bonding moment with my Mom, we had a pampering day at a spa center: done facials, massage and pedicure.
It gives us a total feeling of relaxation, detoxifying and re-energized.
Wishing more time to do that again and again.

Re: Teenage daughter and mother date ideas

I remember the time when i used to go shopping and hoteling with my mom and have a life time happiness.. In this age the best advice is to share the closest bond with your mother, which means sharing a tiny bit of problem, secret and gossip with her let it be about your boyfriend or anyother girls' problem as she is the best adviser one can have and can save you from many difficult situations.

Shopping! Who doesn't want to? Buying a "matchy" mother and daughter outfit would be great as well!

Re: Teenage daughter and mother date ideas

I'm looking forward to taking my daughter out to make-up stores like a MAC and get our makeup done. I'd also like to take my daughter to high-tea at a restaurant while the boys go off and do something like race cars.

My mom and I loved visiting tea shops. Back when I was in United Kingdom, we've come across this tea house in Cambridge and definitely love their scones and their chocolate essence tea. It's really a must try!

Another mother and daughter bonding moments with my mom that really miss is having a sample mall make-over whether it may be on hair style or make-up session.
These treats make us feel so pretty after leaving the mall.
