Topic: Which foods to give my 1 year old

Hello moms
I have a problem to share. Its been 6 months that I introduced solids to my baby. I staryed with mashed foods but until now when he's 1 yr old he does not eat chunky food items. He spits them out e.g bread, chapatties, chicken, some biscuits and etc.
Can some one help me with how to bring him on these foods?

Re: Which foods to give my 1 year old

Hello! I suggest you start introducing small, bite-sized foods at a time. Do not force him/her if he/she doesn't want to eat yet because it can turn into frustrations among children. Try handing him sweet potato fries or serve the food also in a fun and colorful plate smile

This is so helpful, I think I am going to start these practices right away because it disappoints me when he doesn't eat anything i make with big pieces e.g. mashed potatoes with mayonnaise.

Re: Which foods to give my 1 year old

I have a one year old daughter and she loves to imitate me. Maybe you can give your little one finger foods or sliced fruits in a plate/bow while you are eating too. Show her it feels good to eat and say, "yummy!".

I did that and unlike any other kid, she loves to eat veggies!

Re: Which foods to give my 1 year old

Hi, the same thing with my daughter, before. what I
did is  I fried a pork with the huge amount of breading mix to stronger the taste, just to make her crave for more when she tasted it. Before giving her again another piece I always check her mouth say ah to make sure she swallowed it. I'm just doing that when she loses her appetite. Hope will help :-)
