Topic: Honestly... how much TV time do you let your little ones get?

Come on moms, lets be honest. I'd love to know how much time your little ones spend in front of the TV.

I'm guessing my kids get about an hour a day, maybe more in the holidays. I don't know if it's a lot or not.

You get moms who would never admit how much time their hkids really get, and you get moms who genuinely refuse to let their kids watch TV.

My kids gets the privilege to watch TV during school days at least 1 hour.
But for Friday night up to Saturday night, they can watch unlimited.
Sunday is a no-no because it's study time in preparation for Monday class.:D

My kids don't watch much TV during the week, but on the weekends I just let them watch, especially when I'm busy preparing food or doing work (often working weekends!).

Thanks for the replies. I let my kids watch some TV every day, but sometimes we have a day where they are just glued to the TV. You worry that they are watching too much. But sometimes life is busy and you just need to find a way to fit everything in - and sometimes that means letting them watch TV more than you'd like!

Personally, I don't like television maybe because the media has a big influence nowadays and most of the things seen on television is not good. I am determined not to let my child be hooked on it so I did not bought a television. Just like my upbringing, I want them to be hooked on books instead.

My lo is 8 months old and we don't let him watch TV yet. I am not sure I will allow him to watch TV at all until he's old enough that we can't control him anymore. There are several studies saying that this could hinder a baby's development as they should be focusing on observing and discovering things around them through their senses.
