Food for Us

Topic: Food for Us

Being an on-the-go mom, I have to be practical in everything. So instead of preparing for my child her breakfast and preparing mine I used to prepare a meal that is both okay for us. Here's an example:

Ingredients:

Cooked Rolled oats
Milk
Sesame Seeds
Small sizes of banana
Raisins
Honey

Mix it all together.


We liked it and is healthy too!

For my girls they love a few slices of apple and a cup of milk in the morning. Sometimes they also love cereal or oat meal for breakfast. I am proud that at least my children are not use to eating unhealthy junk foods.

My son doesn't eat much - he's very picky. I wish he would eat eggs because they are such a nice easy breakfast and I could make it for all of us. But he won't.

At the moment he just eats a slice of toast. He won't even eat most breakfast cereals (even the sweet ones) especially if you add milk to it. He doesn't like it when it goes 'squishy'.

This breakfast is so healthy. I wish that my son should go for natural foods rather that junk ones when he grows a little older because eating foods from natural sources in the start, would keep them healthy and well nourished always.

When I was still a child (but even up til now), my mom would usually prepare a complete breakfast; usually on the heavy side too since she also emphasizes that breakfast is the most important meal of the day because it kick-start the metabolism and fuels the mind with energy for use throughout the day.

She would often prepare fried or steamed rice, usually some greens on the side, fried fish or fried marinated beef/pork, eggs, and a cup of mixed fruits. smile

Breakfast is the important part of every meal for my family .

I need to prepare it because my kids needs energy in school since they stay the whole day 7:15AM to 4:30PM (7:15-1PM - English class; 1:15-4:30PM Chinese class).

Everyday, breakfast should be rice and planned different viands so that they won't get tired of eating.

Egg is always part of their breakfast since egg is a superfood, among one of the most nutritious food. I cooked it either fried, boiled, and scrambled.
