Why you should never let your baby play with your phone

Topic: Why you should never let your baby play with your phone

I just came across an article which I think is worth to share with you all. It is about the danger the phone or tablet can be for your baby. Never let your little one play with your phone unattended. Here you can read the article.

Do you allow your children to play with your smartphone and tablets? What are some of the rules you have when it comes to technology use at home?

I let my little one play with my phone. I have some great learning apps and she has learned a lot. I try to limit time to make sure she's not constantly on it.

After reading your topic I thought you must be telling damage done to your phone or any bad health effects mobile.phones have like radiations... Because this happened with me. My son broke my previous phone that I loved.. Now when my husband gifted me a new one, he threw that as well.. Poor mobile has now got a break in the screen

I let my children use my mobile phone but not that long.  And for me everything comes with moderation. Aside from that, the only thing that my child do with my phone is to watch her favorite youtube channel which is very educative.

Re: Why you should never let your baby play with your phone

Mobile phones are very addictive to children especially when they play games at it or watch their favorite shows.
I do let them have a mobile phones on this age (my son - ages 13 & 11) but has set limitations on this.

For mothers who allowed their children at this early age (young children) to use gadgets, I would suggest a No-no.
1. the radiation it sends to the body of the young children.
2. it affects the eyes, too much focus on tablet or phone, can make you child have eye strain, the tendency of the eyeball of your child will be accustomed in time if not corrected will result to either near-sightedness and/or cross-eyed.
3. no social interaction made by your children, their only playmate is your phone or tablets.

Re: Why you should never let your baby play with your phone

I don't allow my daughter to use my cell phone unattended. She can use it with my supervision. She can watch videos and play the games on it. But just for an hour or two, she will be giving it back to me. It is also my way of securing my contacts and other files from the phone. She was not at the right age to used cell phone. She is just two years and a half.

For me, the reason I won't let my child play with m phone is because she throws it, smashes it, steps on it and a lot more since she does not know yet the value of my phone. All I have to do if that happens is to be patient. Haha!
