Long car journey. What should I pack for the car?

Topic: Long car journey. What should I pack for the car?

Whenever we take a long road trip over the holidays we end up stopping to buy food along the way. It's never good food, and it takes a lot of time to sit down and order food, wait for the bill, etc. This year I want to pack in advance. What kind of food can I pack the night before in a cooler box and sack on all day. Obviously sandwiches are an option. Anything else?

[Fruits are also a very good option... They will not only give you energy but also keep you full... other than that make nuggets, fish fingers, cutlets or any fried item which can also keep you full.. also spaghetti or macronis are good option,, which if cold don't taste bad!

You can pack foods that are not easily spoilt. Fruits are also good as well. A few bottles of water and some energy bar can be one of the options of as well.

Food is the most unforgotten thing not to bring along.Especially when we have kids, these are the most consumed part in a long drive.
Some suggestions like:

1. Fruits
2. Trail mix
3. Sandwiches
4. Granola Bars
5. Hard Boiled Eggs
6. Cereals
7. Bagel (any bread)
8. Pretzels
9. Rice cakes
10. Cheese sticks

Don't forget gallons of water...They will surely ask for it!
